1952Jaguar XK120 OTS ("Open Two-Seater"). It is finished in iconicBritish Racing Green paint over an Old Biscuit colored leatherinterior and has undergone a total body-off restoration. Thislegendary Jaguar is stunning in person and looks as though it hasjust rolled off the assembly line in Coventry. Perhaps asimportant, this is a tour ready Jaguar needing nothing to beenjoyed. We have applied for the Jaguar/Daimler HeritageCertificate for this car and will be updating the information onearlier history once it is known. On June 8, 2003, this car wasacquired by a Jaguar specialist in Scottsdale, Arizona where theaforementioned body-off restoration took place. This painstakingprocess of body off, nut and bolt restoration took three full yearsto complete. The result is excellent. In August of 2006, the Jaguarwent on to a large classic car collection in Baberton, Ohio whereit was proudly displayed until March 19, 2010, when John Tullochacquired it. Mr. Tulloch is an avid car collector and enthusiastbased in both Illinois and Arizona. He enjoyed this Jaguar on toursthrough Arizona, always finding it as reliable as it is gorgeous.The British Racing Green livery on this car is in excellentcondition with very few minor blemishes. In direct sunlight, itshines beautifully and has the wonderful deep luster that thiscolor is known for. The chrome trim pieces are in wonderfulcondition (as to be expected after such a restoration) andhighlight the details of this beautiful car. This example alsocomes with its black canvas convertible top and side curtains thatlook great and are easy to attach. There are some expectedscratches on the side insert windows due to storage. Thesplit-windshield creates a cool, period-correct look to an alreadysexy car and creates an undistorted, commanding view of the roadahead. The "Old Biscuit leather interior is in overall excellentcondition. The leather is soft and supple and is complimented withdeep, soft matching carpets. The light and elegant looking interiorcreates a stunning contrast to the more understated exterior. Thefactory steering wheel comes complete with the original Jaguar logoencased in an orb that immediately demands your attention whileevery other touch point, such as the gear lever and hand brake,work well with excellent engagement feel. The 3.4 liter inline-sixstarts right up hot or cold and idles smoothly. The bellowing, deepgrowl that these engines are so revered for is omnipresent and itis particularly amplified higher in the rev range. Delivering 160hp complimented with excellent midrange torque, it is an absolutejoy to drive. There is an inherent, awesome mechanical feel to thiscar that needs to be experienced. The four-speed transmissionengages into every gear easily and faithfully, and clutch operationis exceptionally smooth and progressive. At speed, this Jaguar isstable and confident making the 120-mph top speed claim by Jaguarthemselves (hence XK120) easily believable. This car comes with thefactory Black canvas top, side curtains, and tan canvas tonneaucovers as well as a custom ordered car cover. It is also completewith the factory toolkit, jack, crowbar, and spare tire.Additionally, this Jaguar will come with a large file of servicereceipts, an original owners handbook and the forthcoming JaguarHeritage Certificate.
